Alpine Endurance Team has confirmed its drivers for the 2025 season of the World Endurance Championship. The lineup will feature two Hypercar A424, identified with numbers 35 and 36, competing in the eight rounds of the calendar.
Drivers designated for the new season
The #35 car will be driven by Paul-Loup Chatin, Charles Milesi, and Ferdinand Habsburg, who are continuing with the team after the 2024 campaign. Meanwhile, the #36 will be driven by Mick Schumacher, Jules Gounon, and Frédéric Makowiecki. Gounon has been promoted from his role as a reserve driver, while Makowiecki joins from Porsche.
The team will operate under the direction of Bruno Famin, vice president of Alpine Motorsports, with Philippe Sinault as team principal and Nicolas Lapierre as sporting director. Both executives have three Le Mans victories and two LMP2 class titles.
2025 Season Calendar
The 2025 calendar will kick off with the Prologue at the Lusail International Circuit, Qatar, on February 21 and 22. The first race will take place on February 28 at the same track, featuring the 1812 kilometers of Qatar. Subsequently, the championship will visit Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, Le Mans, São Paulo, Austin, Fuji, and Bahrain.
Team objectives in the Hypercar category
The team enters its second season in the Hypercar category aiming to establish itself after a 2024 learning experience. In the previous campaign, Alpine achieved its first WEC podium with a third-place finish at the 6 Hours of Fuji, contributing to its fourth place in the manufacturers' championship.

Mick Schumacher, who debuted in endurance racing in 2024, highlighted the team's progress and the importance of continuing improvements for the new season. Paul-Loup Chatin, a two-time European Le Mans Series champion, emphasized the experience gained and the goal of assessing competitive level in Qatar.
