The Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has officially unveiled the livery that the third-generation V-Series.R prototypes will carry in the 2025 season of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The event took place on January 13 at the Cadillac City Paris, located in front of the Opéra Garnier in Paris. This venue, which also serves as an experience center for Cadillac's electric vehicles, was chosen to highlight its ambition in international motorsport.

Two Permanent Entries in the Championship

For the first time, Cadillac will have two permanent entries in the Hypercar category of the FIA WEC. This is the result of a collaboration between Cadillac and the British team JOTA Sport, known for its achievements in the Hypercar Teams' World Cup. This partnership marks JOTA Sport’s transition to becoming a factory team in the championship.

The cars numbered 12 and 38 are equipped with a Cadillac 5.5L DOHC V8 engine, specifically designed for this program. Featuring hybrid technology, the V-Series.R underscores Cadillac's commitment to transferring motorsport advancements to its commercial vehicles.

A Multidisciplinary Team

The driver lineup includes Jenson Button, 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, alongside Will Stevens and Norman Nato, who also raced with JOTA in 2024. Joining them are Alex Lynn, Earl Bamber, and Sébastien Bourdais, a four-time Champ Car titleholder. The driver allocation for each car will be confirmed soon.

Statements and Partnerships

Pere Brugal, General Manager of GM Europe, emphasized that this project drives Cadillac's vision to strengthen its presence in Europe through one of the most prominent endurance racing championships. Meanwhile, David Clark, co-founder of JOTA Sport, highlighted the joint effort behind this new chapter in the team's history.

The partnership with Hertz also plays a key role by bolstering commercial support and ensuring a competitive global program. This backing complements the technical expertise of General Motors.

Heading into the Season

The 2025 FIA WEC season will begin on February 28 with the Qatar 1812 km at the Lusail International Circuit. The calendar includes eight rounds promising high competitiveness. With the car design already unveiled and a strong team in place, the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA is gearing up to face the challenges of this new season.
