The World Endurance Championship has unveiled the official entry list for the 2025 season, which features 36 participants distributed between the Hypercar and LMGT3 categories. This announcement includes new manufacturers, changes in lineups, and the departure of some competitors.

Updates in the Hypercar Category

In 2025, 18 cars will compete in the Hypercar class, with Aston Martin introducing its Valkyrie AMR-LMH. This model returns to the championship as part of the British manufacturer's effort to reclaim prominence in endurance racing since its last victory at Le Mans in 1959. Toyota Gazoo Racing, the defending champion, continues with the GR010-Hybrid, while Porsche Penske Motorsport returns after securing the drivers' title in 2024 with the 963.

Mercedes-AMG will make its debut in collaboration with Iron Lynx, marking a return to the championship after more than two decades. Meanwhile, Lamborghini has decided to pause its participation due to rule changes requiring two cars per team in this category.

Teams like AF Corse and Proton Competition will compete in the FIA Hypercar Teams' World Cup. Brands such as Ferrari, Cadillac, Peugeot, and Alpine maintain their programs, aiming to build on progress from last season.

Changes in LMGT3

The LMGT3 category, in its second year, will feature 18 cars on the grid. Iron Dames, in collaboration with Manthey Racing, returns with an all-female lineup. This team aims to improve its performance from 2023, where it finished second in the championship.

Lamborghini exits this category with the Huracán GT3 EVO2, while Mercedes-AMG takes its place with Iron Lynx. The Heart of Racing program will continue with the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, operated by Prodrive. Additionally, Racing Spirit of Lemans will replace D’station Racing on the grid.
