The JOTA team embarks on a new chapter in the World Endurance Championship with its partnership with Cadillac, which will allow them to compete in the Hypercar category with two V-Series.Rs. The British driver Jenson Button and the French driver Sébastien Bourdais will lead the lineup, bringing experience and knowledge to the team.
Button, the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, will continue with JOTA after his performance in 2024, demonstrating his ability to adapt to the demands of endurance racing. Bourdais, with extensive experience in Cadillac both in IMSA and WEC, will also contribute with his expertise in prototypes, strengthening a solid lineup.
The team will also include Will Stevens, Norman Nato, Alex Lynn, and Earl Bamber. Stevens, with a long-standing relationship with JOTA, has played a key role in the team's recent successes, while Nato provides stability and continuity. The participation of Lynn and Bamber, both with prior experience in Cadillac, strengthens the project for the upcoming season.
The collaboration between JOTA and Cadillac aims to build on the success of 2024, in which the team excelled in the Hypercar category for private teams, with a notable victory at Spa-Francorchamps. The strategy for 2025 includes a commitment to participate in the WEC with two entries, meeting the requirements for manufacturers and demonstrating Cadillac's intent to advance in endurance racing.
