Wayne Taylor Racing and Cadillac Racing have officially announced their driver lineup for the 2025 season in the GTP category, which will debut at the upcoming edition of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. This event will mark the beginning of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship calendar.
The Cadillac No. 10 duo remains intact
In the No. 10 Cadillac, Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque will continue as the primary drivers for the entire season. Both have a notable track record with WTR and will continue to collaborate in pursuit of further success. Will Stevens, a familiar face to the team, will return to participate in the three endurance races on the calendar: the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and Petit Le Mans. Brendon Hartley will complete the team at Daytona, marking his fourth collaboration with WTR.
Wayne Taylor highlighted the cohesion among the drivers of the No. 10, who have been working together for several years, providing a significant advantage in endurance races.
Taylor and Delétraz to lead the Cadillac No. 40
In the second car, the No. 40 Cadillac, Jordan Taylor and Louis Delétraz will once again pair up for the entire season. They will be joined by Alex Lynn for the endurance races, who has worked with the team in the past. Kamui Kobayashi will also return for the Rolex 24, aiming to repeat his previous successes in this iconic race.
Taylor emphasized the importance of having a group of drivers who prioritize teamwork, which is crucial for achieving strong results in endurance events.
Preparations for Daytona
The team will take part in the official IMSA tests at Daytona International Speedway, scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2024. After that, they will gear up for the "Roar Before the Rolex 24," with qualifying taking place on January 19. Finally, the 24-hour race will kick off on January 25, 2025.
