MoneyGram Haas F1 Team has announced a new signing: Esteban Ocon will join the team starting from the 2025 Formula 1 season. This agreement represents a significant change for the American team, which has been seeking a driver with experience and a successful track record in the category.

Ocon, who currently competes for Alpine F1 Team, has demonstrated his capability in Formula 1 since his debut in 2016. His career includes a victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2021. With a career that includes 146 races and an accumulation of 425 points, Ocon has shown consistency and notable skills throughout his career.

The collaboration between Ocon and MoneyGram Haas F1 Team is no coincidence. The French driver and Ayao Komatsu, current Haas Team Director, share a history dating back to 2014, when Komatsu was Ocon's engineer in his first Formula 1 test with Lotus. This historical connection reinforces the team's confidence in Ocon's skills.

Team owner Gene Haas has emphasized the need to incorporate a driver with Ocon's profile. Haas believes that his experience and ability to consistently fight for points will be key to the team's progress. Ocon will replace Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen, who are moving on to other opportunities in motorsport.

In his statements, Ocon expressed his enthusiasm for joining Haas and acknowledged the team's effort and vision. He was particularly happy to work again with Komatsu, who has been an important figure in his career since its beginnings.
