The BWT Alpine F1 Team has announced the renewal of Pierre Gasly's contract, extending his commitment to the team beyond the 2025 season. The French driver, in his second year with the team, has 140 races in his Formula 1 career.
Since joining, Gasly has participated in 32 races with Alpine, accumulating 67 points and achieving two podiums in 2023: third place in the sprint race of the Belgian Grand Prix and third place in the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.
Gasly expressed his satisfaction with the team and his commitment to Alpine's long-term project. He acknowledged that the season has been challenging, but highlighted the team's potential and his confidence in the decisions made to improve performance.
Bruno Famin, team principal, praised Gasly's experience and potential, highlighting his value as an ambassador for the Alpine brand. Famin also mentioned that the team will focus on improving the current package and that the announcement of Gasly's teammate for the 2025 season will be made in due course.
