After 21 hours of racing, the five leading Hypercars were separated by only 35 seconds. This period began under the safety car following the crash of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3. During this phase, two Hypercars faced problems: the Peugeot #93, driven by Nico Muller, went off track at Indianapolis, and the Cadillac #3 had to retire due to an oil leak.

At 10:32 a.m., the race resumed with the Cadillac #2 led by Earl Bamber, followed by a Porsche and two Ferraris. The Ferraris #50 and #83 began a battle for third place, briefly involving the Toyota #7 of Kamui Kobayashi.

The Cadillac #311 suffered an accident at Indianapolis, leaving it out of the competition. Meanwhile, the Toyota #8 moved up to fifth place. The Ferrari #50, driven by Antonio Fuoco, overtook his teammate and the Porsche #5 to move into second place. However, the Porsche #5 lost time in the pits due to a penalty, dropping to eighth place.

At 1 p.m., the Cadillac #2 driven by Alex Palou maintained the lead with a four-second advantage over the Ferrari #50, while the Toyota #8 was eight seconds behind. Kevin Estre in the Porsche #6 and Alessandro Pier Guidi in the Ferrari #51 competed for fourth place, and the top nine cars remained on the lead lap.

During the final hour, the Ferrari #50 faced issues with the right door, leading to a pit stop. However, the car maintained the lead. A mistake by Lopez in the Toyota #7 facilitated Ferrari's victory, who took the win with a 14-second advantage over the Toyota #7. The defending champions' Ferrari #51 completed the podium despite a five-second penalty for an incident with the Toyota #8.

LMP2

In the LMP2 category, United Autosports achieved an unexpected victory with their ORECA #22, surpassing IDEC Sport and Inter Europol after a closely contested race. Oliver Jarvis, Bijoy Garg, and Nolan Siegel maintained a consistent pace, taking advantage of their rivals' mistakes. The battle for second place was equally intense, with Inter Europol and IDEC Sport exchanging positions several times before Inter Europol secured second place with Clement Novalak, Jakub Smiechowski, and Vladislav Lomko driving.

LMGT3

In the LMGT3 category, Porsche won with their Manthey EMA 911 GT3 R, surpassing the BMW #31 of WRT in the final stages. Richard Lietz, Yasser Shahin, and Morris Schuring maintained a solid performance, resisting pressure from their competitors. The race became particularly competitive during the last hours, with several teams facing mechanical problems and pit strategies that altered the order. Proton Competition secured third and fourth place with their Ford Mustang GT3s.
