Adrian Fernandez to drive Pedro Rodriguez's BRM at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix

The Monaco Historic Grand Prix is gearing up for an unforgettable moment with Adrián Fernández behind the wheel of the legendary BRM #P153/05, in a heartfelt tribute to Pedro Rodríguez, an icon of Mexican motorsport. With support from the Mexico GP, this event promises to become a milestone in the history of national motorsport and a pivotal moment in Fernández's career.

The BRM that Fernández will drive is the same one in which Rodríguez competed in eight Formula 1 Grands Prix in the 1970 season, achieving notable results, including a second place at the United States Grand Prix. This vehicle, loaded with history and emotion, represents a unique connection between two legends of Mexican motorsport.

Adrián Fernández, known for his achievements in CART and the American Le Mans Series, among other championships, is excited about this unique opportunity. "I will seek to pay the utmost respect to Pedro Rodríguez with my performance on the Monaco track," said the Mexican driver, who has been meticulously preparing for this moment.

The Monaco Historic Grand Prix, dedicated to commemorating the most prominent cars in the history of motorsport, will be the perfect setting for this heartfelt tribute. Additionally, thanks to the support of FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO 2024 Presented by Heineken, Fernández will have the necessary backing to face this historic race.

The practice sessions, qualifying, and race can be followed live through various online channels. Fernández's sessions in the BRM and the rest of the competition in Monaco can be watched live on the YouTube channels of Motorsport Magazine, Goodwood, and ACM Media.

The sessions will take place at specific times, adjusted to the Monaco time zone and daylight saving time in Mexico:

  • Friday, May 10: Free practice session of 30 minutes at 2:30 pm, Monaco time (6:30 am, central Mexico time).
  • Saturday, May 11: Qualifying session of 25 minutes at 10:45 am, Monaco time (2:45 am, central Mexico time).
  • Sunday, May 12: Race scheduled for 12 laps or 35 minutes, starting at 11:15 am, Monaco time (3:15 am, central Mexico time).

These timings will allow fans to closely follow Adrián Fernández's participation in the Monaco Historic Grand Prix from the comfort of their homes.
