What to watch at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

GTP Jack Aitken (Cadillac) leads the championship over Laurin Heinrich (Porsche) by 118 points. The big news is Heinrich's move to the No. 6 Porsche Penske Motorsport car alongside Kévin Estre to fight for the title, while Nico Müller returns to the No. 5 JDC-Miller MotorSports entry. Tom Blomqvist took class pole in the No. 60 Acura with a time of 1:14.674.

LMP2 CrowdStrike Racing by APR leads Inter Europol Competition by 36 points. Jeremy Clarke took class pole in the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition car with a time of 1:17.555. Nick Boulle makes his first start of the year with Era Motorsport.

GTD Pro Paul Miller Racing (BMW) leads Corvette Racing by just 23 points, the tightest fight in the championship. Qualifying was canceled due to rain, so pole was assigned by points and went to the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing (BMW).

GTD Heart of Racing Team (Aston Martin) and Winward Racing (Mercedes) are separated by 36 points. As in GTD Pro, qualifying was canceled due to rain, and pole went to the No. 57 Winward Racing (Mercedes) on points.

About the circuit

Indianapolis Motor Speedway uses its 2.439-mile (approx. 3.925 km) layout with 14 corners inside the world's most famous oval. It is a permanent circuit that combines long straights with technical sections. This edition changes its traditional 6-hour format to a 2-hour-and-40-minute sprint race.
