Pierre Gasly regained third place in the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix after the FIA accepted the right of review submitted by Alpine and annulled the two five‑second penalties imposed on him for pit‑lane speeding. The decision was announced on Friday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where the French team presented new and relevant evidence that led the stewards to reopen the case and withdraw the sanctions.

Gasly had started ninth in the Principality and worked his way up to fourth place in a race that featured two Safety Cars and a red flag. Towards the end, George Russell had to serve a drive‑through, which allowed Gasly to gain another position and cross the line in third. The stewards handed him two five‑second penalties for pit‑lane speeding, and the combined penalty dropped him to seventh in the final classification. Alpine requested a Right of Review after the race; the first hearing took place on Thursday, and a subsequent review ended with the penalties being annulled.

The reclassification changes the race finishing order. Isack Hadjar, who had celebrated his first top‑three finish with Red Bull, drops to fourth place. Oscar Piastri moves from fourth to fifth, and the two Racing Bulls of Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad each lose one position. The championship continues this very weekend with the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona-Catalunya.
