Louis Delétraz will take the seat of Alex Lynn in the Cadillac V-Series.R number 12 of Hertz Team JOTA at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the third round of the WEC to be held on June 14-15. The neck surgery that Lynn needs has been postponed until those same dates due to medical scheduling complications, and the Briton will not be fit to compete at La Sarthe. Delétraz had already raced with the team at Spa-Francorchamps and will again share the car with Will Stevens and Norman Nato.
Lynn has not participated in the first two races of the championship while awaiting surgery for a chronic neck problem. "It is a huge disappointment not to race at Le Mans, but completing this operation and making a full recovery is the priority," he said. The original plan was to have surgery before the summer, but medical scheduling issues pushed the date to June. Sam Hignett, team director and co‑founder, explained that they will define the rest of the season with Lynn once he completes his rehabilitation.
Delétraz is a full‑time Cadillac driver in the IMSA championship with Wayne Taylor Racing, won the WEC LMP2 category in 2023, and comes off a victory in LMP2 Pro‑Am at Le Mans 2025 with AO Racing. His program with AO Racing in LMP2 for this season was suspended when he took over as Lynn's replacement at Spa, and the confirmation for Le Mans solidifies his position within the Cadillac structure in the WEC. The Swiss driver already took part in this week's Silverstone test with the team.
The Cadillac #12 has scored only two points in the drivers' championship with a ninth place at Spa and a retirement at Imola. Cadillac sits seventh in the manufacturers' standings with 8 points, far from the 59 accumulated by BMW in first place.
