In the final five minutes, after the last restart, Louis Delétraz driving the Acura ARX-06 for Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti managed to overtake Sébastien Bourdais in the Cadillac V-Series.R, securing the victory by just 0.891 seconds, one of the narrowest margins in the history of the race.
GTP Category: Championship Leaders and New Contenders
The premier prototype category features a more competitive grid than ever this year. Porsche Penske Motorsport arrives as the championship leader after their victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona on January 26. The Porsche 963 number 7 driven by Felipe Nasr, Nick Tandy, and Laurens Vanthoor will attempt to maintain their momentum against the Cadillac V-Series.R number 40 of Wayne Taylor Racing, the current Sebring winner after their brand switch for the 2025 season.
JDC-Miller MotorSports, which already secured a surprising victory in 2021, has strengthened its lineup with the addition of Swiss Formula E driver Nico Müller, who will join Tijmen van der Helm and Gianmaria Bruni in the Porsche 963 number 85.
