Wehrlein and Antonio Félix da Costa managed to maintain a solid performance thanks to precise strategy and effective execution after a late-race restart.
Race Overview
The race began with Porsche drivers Wehrlein and da Costa leading after securing the front row in qualifying. For much of the event, they stayed ahead, while Oliver Rowland, starting from fourth, stayed within striking distance.
An incident on Lap 28 involving David Beckmann triggered the first safety car. This allowed Rowland, who had activated his second Attack Mode, to close in on the lead group. On the restart, he used his additional power to overtake Jake Dennis, Wehrlein, and da Costa, moving into the lead.
A second safety car, caused by contact between Mitch Evans and Nico Müller, left only one competitive lap at the end. Although the Porsche drivers had more energy available, they couldn’t capitalize on it, and Rowland crossed the finish line as the winner.
