Hyundai Motorsport has announced the addition of Adrien Fourmaux and Alexandre Coria as part of its lineup for the 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC). The French team will take charge of the third Hyundai i20 N Rally1 across the 14 events of the upcoming season, strengthening the team's roster.

Adrien Fourmaux's rise has been a process of evolution and learning. After a challenging debut in the Rally1 category, Fourmaux decided to step back in 2023 and focus his efforts on the Rally2 category, where he achieved the title of British Rally Champion. This break allowed him to rebuild his confidence and improve his performance, which became evident upon his return to Rally1 in 2024 with a renewed approach, delivering consistent results that positioned him as a standout option within the championship.

With this decision, Hyundai Motorsport aims to strengthen its permanent lineup to compete for the manufacturers' championship. Fourmaux will join Thierry Neuville/Martijn Wydaeghe and Ott Tänak/Martin Järveoja, who have already been confirmed for the 2025 season, completing a trio with which Hyundai hopes to maintain a high level of competitiveness throughout the campaign. This third crew will also be key to maximizing competition time under the revised WRC regulations, enabling Hyundai to stay competitive in every rally.

Fourmaux will begin his integration into the team immediately after the Monza Rally Show, scheduled from December 5 to 8. This early start aims to prepare the driver as best as possible for the 2025 season, aligning expectations and adapting to the team based in Alzenau.

Hyundai Motorsport is also evaluating options with its current crews for the upcoming season. During 2024, Esapekka Lappi achieved a victory in Sweden, while Dani Sordo reached the podium in Sardinia and Greece. Meanwhile, Andreas Mikkelsen contributed regular points, consolidating one of the team's strongest campaigns in WRC history.

Cyril Abiteboul, president and team principal of Hyundai Motorsport, stated: "Our shared approach for the third unit in 2024 allowed us to achieve great results, and I sincerely thank Esapekka, Dani, and Andreas for their tremendous contribution. We face new challenges next year, and consistency will be crucial. We are pleased to confirm Adrien and Alexandre as part of the team following their outstanding 2024 season. Adrien impressed us not only with the results but also with the renewed attitude he brought to his Rally1 return. We believe our lineup with Thierry, Ott, and Adrien will be a competitive force on the stages worldwide in 2025."

For his part, Adrien Fourmaux commented: "I am very motivated to join Hyundai Motorsport in 2025. This is a great opportunity for Alex and me, and we are eager to start with the team. As a driver, you always seek growth and challenges, and this opportunity comes at the right time. Hyundai has a strong presence in the WRC, and I am proud to be part of this team. I am ready to give my best and see where this journey takes us."
