23XI Racing has decided to expand its lineup for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season by adding a third full-time car. Riley Herbst will take the wheel of the Toyota Camry No. 35, marking his start as a full-time driver in the top category.

A significant step for Herbst

Riley Herbst arrives at this opportunity after a solid career in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, where he accumulated 175 races since his debut in 2018. During his trajectory in this category, Herbst secured three victories, including standout performances in Las Vegas, Indianapolis, and Phoenix during the 2024 season. His move to 23XI Racing also marks a return to Toyota, the manufacturer with which he began his path in the Xfinity Series.

The 25-year-old driver already has some experience in the NASCAR Cup Series, having competed in eight races in previous seasons. However, 2025 will mark his first full-time campaign, presenting an important challenge in his career. Herbst will join teammates Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick, who have been key contributors to the competitive growth of 23XI in recent years.

Monster Energy’s continued support

One of the constants in Herbst’s career has been his partnership with Monster Energy, which will continue as the primary sponsor of the No. 35. The brand, well-known for its long-standing presence in motorsports, reinforces its commitment to the driver, who has been one of its main representatives in NASCAR since the early stages of his career.

On the technical side, Davin Restivo will serve as the crew chief for the No. 35. Restivo previously worked with Herbst during the second half of the 2024 Xfinity season, guiding him to three victories and a notable playoff performance. His prior experience as an engineer with high-profile teams such as Chip Ganassi Racing will be crucial in this new chapter.
