Starting in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, Ryan Preece will join Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing as the driver of the new No. 60 Ford Mustang, which will be the team's third vehicle. This addition comes as part of a significant collaboration with Kroger, which will sponsor this third car. With this move, RFK Racing expands its presence in the series, joining Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher, who will continue driving the No. 6 and No. 17 Mustangs, respectively. The partnership involves Kroger and around 20 brands that will be distributed among RFK Racing’s three cars for the upcoming season.
Ryan Preece, RFK Racing's New Addition
Steve Newmark, president of RFK Racing, discussed the addition of Ryan Preece and the team's expansion with a third Mustang. "We are thrilled to welcome Ryan and to see the impact he will have on the team and our partnership with Kroger," said Newmark. Preece, whose career spans from local motorsports to the Cup Series, will take the wheel of the No. 60 Mustang, completing the lineup alongside Keselowski and Buescher.
Strengthening Kroger's Presence in NASCAR
Kroger has been a sponsor in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2010, beginning its relationship with JTG Daugherty Racing. During this period, they have secured three notable victories, including the 2023 Daytona 500 and a recent win at Talladega, both with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. With this new alliance, Kroger aims to continue its growth in NASCAR, now in collaboration with RFK Racing.
Expansion for RFK Racing
Preece’s No. 60 will join the cars driven by Keselowski and Buescher, with sponsors such as BuildSubmarines.com, Castrol, and Fastenal remaining involved in the project. This expansion has been made possible by Kroger’s commitment and the support of Tad and Jodi Geschickter, who play a key role in this phase.
The Return of the No. 60
The 2025 NASCAR season will kick off with The Clash at Bowman-Gray Stadium on February 2, followed by the season-opening Daytona 500 on February 16. RFK Racing will introduce Preece driving the No. 60 Mustang, a car returning to the Cup Series with high expectations and a strong group of sponsors. Specific details regarding the brands featured on Preece’s car will be announced later.
