Joey Logano secured his place in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 after winning the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Logano, who implemented a fuel-saving strategy, took first place in the final moments of the race, leaving behind Christopher Bell, who had led most of the event.
At a critical moment, while several of the frontrunners entered the pits to refuel, Logano decided to stay on track, accompanied by Daniel Suárez with a similar strategy. With the help of his teammate Ryan Blaney, Logano managed to pass Suárez in the final laps, putting himself in the lead. Despite pressure from Bell in the closing laps, Logano maintained his advantage and secured the win.
Qualification for the Championship 4
With this victory, Logano becomes the first driver to secure a spot in the championship final. This is the fourth time he advances to the decisive round since the format was implemented in 2014, repeating his pattern of qualifying in even-numbered years.
