The Race Of Champions is one of the most popular motorsport events worldwide, where drivers from different disciplines compete on equal terms. After a pause in 2024 due to issues related to the use of the ground in Pite Havsbad, Sweden, the organization decided to hold the 2025 edition in Sydney, Australia. The Accor Stadium will be the venue for this unprecedented event in the southern hemisphere, scheduled for March 7 and 8, 2025. The latest edition of the ROC, in 2023, crowned Mattias Ekström as the individual champion, while Petter and Oliver Solberg won the Nations Cup.

The ROC comes to the southern hemisphere

The ROC will arrive for the first time in the southern hemisphere, with Sydney's Accor Stadium hosting some of the most prominent figures in international motorsport. Since 1988, the ROC has traveled the world, stopping at iconic venues like the Beijing National Stadium, Stade de France in Paris, and Wembley in London. Drivers from disciplines such as Formula 1, IndyCar, Le Mans, World Rally, and Rally X will compete in a format that highlights each driver's pure skill.

Two nights of competition with the best drivers

The event will consist of two action-packed days. On Friday, March 7, the ROC Nations Cup will take place, where drivers will be grouped by national teams to compete for the title of "The Fastest Nation." The following day, on Saturday, March 8, the individual competition will crown the "Champion of Champions," as the world's best drivers face off in head-to-head duels with identical cars.

Celebration of motorsport in Sydney

The ROC will offer fans the opportunity to enjoy additional activities and a festive atmosphere at the Accor Stadium. Tickets will be available starting at $49 through Ticketek. It is recommended to purchase them in advance due to the high expectation generated by the event.

Confirmed Australian drivers

Among the drivers who have already confirmed their participation are Australian figures like seven-time V8 Supercars champion Jamie Whincup, who highlighted the importance of competing in his home country. Additionally, five-time MotoGP champion Mick Doohan also expressed his excitement about the opportunity to participate in this event in Australia. Both drivers emphasized the unique atmosphere created by competing in a stadium, with fans so close to the action.
