Penske Entertainment, the Dallas Cowboys, and REV Entertainment have joined forces to bring an unprecedented event to the Arlington sports district: the Grand Prix of Arlington. This 2.73-mile urban circuit will cross key areas such as AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. The race is scheduled for March 2026 and marks IndyCar's return to Texas after the last race in the state took place in 2023.

IndyCar Returns to Texas

After being absent since 2023, when Texas Motor Speedway was dropped from the calendar due to logistical reasons, the IndyCar series returns to Texas with a new format and location. The Grand Prix of Arlington offers a chance to renew interest in single-seater racing in the state while giving spectators a different experience with an urban circuit through the heart of the entertainment district.

Collaboration Between Sports and Entertainment

Roger Penske, chairman of Penske Corporation, highlighted that this event was made possible thanks to collaboration with the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and REV Entertainment. The track and event reflect a shared interest in offering a unique experience for the local community and IndyCar fans worldwide. Jerry Jones, owner of the Cowboys, emphasized that this was part of the original vision for AT&T Stadium, a venue ready to host major international events.

Economic Impact in Arlington

Arlington Mayor Jim Ross highlighted that the Grand Prix will benefit the local economy and attract thousands of visitors. With the race being broadcast nationally by FOX, this event will also position Arlington as a key destination for sports and entertainment events.
