In October, NASCAR Cup Series drivers will use pink window nets on their cars as part of a campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer. This gesture, organized by the Erik Jones Foundation, is part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities and will be visible during the Bank of America ROVAL 400 on October 13, 2024, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
In addition to the nets, the Drive for the Cure 250 race, which will take place on October 12, will also focus on the cause. With this initiative, NASCAR seeks to show support for those affected by breast cancer, remembering survivors and those battling the disease.
The pink window nets, which are highly visible, have become a tradition at the Charlotte event. This year, drivers will sign the nets after the race, and they will be auctioned off to raise funds for organizations that work to fight the disease.
This initiative is another example of NASCAR’s commitment to supporting social causes and raising awareness through its events. The visual impact of the pink window nets, along with the drivers' participation, reinforces the message of solidarity with those affected.
