Bubba Wallace has renewed his contract for several years with 23XI Racing, according to the team. The driver of car number 23 will continue to be part of the lineup of the organization owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. Wallace, 30, has competed in the NASCAR Cup Series for seven full seasons, and this agreement marks his fourth year with the team.

Wallace was the first driver signed by 23XI Racing and brought the team's first victory at Talladega Superspeedway in 2021. This was followed by another win at Kansas Speedway in 2022, cementing his importance within the team's structure.

Wallace's Performance in the 2024 Season

In the current season, Wallace ranks 19th in the standings after 28 races. He has achieved five top-5 finishes and ten top-10 finishes, showing consistency in several aspects. However, his average starting position (14.3) and finishing position (16.3) suggest that there is still room for improvement in race management.

One important fact is that despite completing 97.8% of the laps, Wallace has not consistently led races, with only 127 laps led. Additionally, three DNFs due to crashes and mechanical failures have affected his overall position in the standings.

While Wallace has shown solid but inconsistent performance, his teammate Tyler Reddick has qualified for the 2024 playoffs and even won the regular-season championship. This difference highlights the need for Wallace to make adjustments to improve his chances of securing a playoff spot in the future.
