Thierry Neuville, current WRC leader, has signed a contract extension with Hyundai Motorsport that will keep him with the team until the end of 2025. This agreement strengthens his relationship of over a decade with the South Korean brand, where he has played an essential role in the team's development in the WRC. Since his first WRC victory with Hyundai at the 2014 Rallye Deutschland, Neuville has accumulated 20 wins, 59 podiums, and 371 stage victories. The contract renewal reflects the mutual trust between the Belgian driver and Hyundai, who have formed a strong competitive alliance in the championship.

Hyundai's Plans for 2025

Alongside his co-driver Martijn Wydaeghe, Neuville will continue to team up with Ott Tänak and his co-driver Martin Järveoja, who will also compete in the 2025 WRC season. Hyundai has yet to announce the complete lineup for its third i20 N Rally1 Hybrid car, but it is expected to do so soon, which could influence the team's dynamics for the upcoming season.

For his part, Cyril Abiteboul, president of Hyundai Motorsport, emphasized the importance of ensuring the continuity of Neuville and Tänak in the team: "Neuville's renewal reaffirms our commitment to the WRC for 2025.
