NASCAR presents its 2025 schedule with new venues and a return to Mexico

NASCAR has unveiled the 2025 schedule for its national series, highlighting the inclusion of new tracks and the return to historic venues. One of the most notable additions is the international race for the NASCAR Cup Series in Mexico City, scheduled for June 15, marking the first time the championship will be held outside the United States in the modern era. Additionally, the famous Bowman Gray Stadium will host The Clash event, while Rockingham Speedway and Lime Rock Park are also added to the calendar.

International expansion and return to historic venues

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, known for hosting the Xfinity Series from 2005 to 2008, will be the site of the first points race of the NASCAR Cup Series outside the United States since 1958. The Mexico race will be broadcast live on Prime Video on June 15, while the Xfinity Series will race the day before, with coverage on The CW.

Another new addition is the return of The Clash to Bowman Gray Stadium, a track with a rich history in NASCAR, which will host a race again after 54 years. The stadium hosted 29 races of NASCAR's top series between 1958 and 1971.

New additions to the calendar

In addition to the races in Mexico and Bowman Gray, the Xfinity and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series schedules will be expanded with the inclusion of Rockingham Speedway and Lime Rock Park. Rockingham will host NASCAR again after a long absence, while Lime Rock Park, an iconic 1.5-mile road course in Connecticut, will debut in the Truck Series.

Schedule details and other notable changes

The 2025 season will begin with the 67th annual Daytona 500 on February 16 and will extend until November 2 with the final race at Phoenix Raceway. During the season, Amazon Prime Video will debut as NASCAR's broadcast platform, covering the Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25. The season will also see the return of TNT Sports as a series broadcaster.

Another significant change in the schedule includes the relocation of Kansas Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway within the playoff format. Additionally, World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis will make its debut in NASCAR's postseason as the second race in the Round of 16.
