The fifth round of the Súper Copa Roshfrans 2024, which will take place at the Autódromo de León, brings a new feature to its schedule: the Gran Turismo México (GTM) and GTM Light categories will start their competition on Saturday, breaking with the usual format. This adjustment aims to offer more options to the attending public, especially those who cannot be present on Sunday.
This change in the schedule takes advantage of the characteristics of the León circuit, allowing for a more flexible distribution of the races. For those interested in attending, admission on Saturday will be free, opening up the event to a wider audience.
Saturday's activities begin with the GTM Light qualifying session at 1:50 PM, followed by its first race at 4:50 PM. GTM Pro 1 and Pro 2 will take to the track at 2:12 PM for their qualifying session, with their race starting at 5:40 PM.
In the championship battle, Rubén García Jr. leads the GTM Pro 1 category with 350 points, while Salvador de Alba Jr. is close behind with 348 points, indicating a tight competition. In the GTM Pro 2 category, Oscar Pérez tops the standings with 390 points.
Meanwhile, in GTM Light, César Jiménez holds the top spot with 354 points, followed by Arturo Bojórquez and Jerónimo de Yturbe, who are also well-positioned to fight for the title.
With this new structure, the Súper Copa Roshfrans 2024 aims to attract more spectators and offer them early access to the action, making Saturday a key day in the competition.
