JR Motorsports has confirmed that Connor Zilisch, a development driver for Trackhouse Racing and winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona, will compete full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025, driving the Chevrolet No. 88. His first race will be at the Daytona International Speedway, kicking off the season.
Connor Zilisch's Career
Originally from Mooresville, N.C., Connor Zilisch began racing at the age of five. At 18, he has excelled in multiple national karting championships in the United States and set records at six different tracks during his first year with the Sports Car Club of America in 2021. He debuted in the ARCA Menards Series in 2023, finishing in second place. In January of this year, he signed a multi-year contract with Trackhouse Racing as a development driver.
Zilisch's Comments
"With the support of Chevrolet and the opportunity to race in Trucks, ARCA, and Trans Am thanks to Silver Hare Racing, I was able to sign with Trackhouse, who provided me with this incredible opportunity," said Zilisch. "I am grateful and eager to show that their trust in me is well placed. It's amazing to think that I will be driving for JR Motorsports and Dale Earnhardt Jr., one of my heroes. I am ready to work hard."
Upcoming Races
Zilisch will debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with JR Motorsports on September 14 at Watkins Glen International. He will also compete at Kansas Speedway (September 28), Homestead-Miami Speedway (October 26), and Phoenix Raceway (November 9).
