After a challenging start, Johan Kristoffersson wins second day of World RX in Hungary

In the fourth round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship (World RX) in Nyirád, Hungary, Johan Kristoffersson bounced back from a challenging first day to secure his 43rd victory. The Swedish driver overcame incidents and setbacks to lead from start to finish in the finals on the second day.

Day 1: Incidents and Victory for Grönholm

On Saturday, Niclas Grönholm took the victory after a chaotic start. In the first corner, Kevin Hansen and Johan Kristoffersson collided, leaving both out of the main contest. Kristoffersson managed to continue with a damaged car, but Hansen was out. Grönholm, having avoided the incident, took the lead and never let it go, securing his first win of the season.

Day 2: Race 1

On Sunday morning, Kristoffersson had a challenging start in the second heat due to a collision with Timmy Hansen and Niclas Grönholm. Despite the damage to his car, the Swede set the fastest lap time. In the semifinal, he led from start to finish, showing his determination to recover from the previous day.

Day 2: Race 2

In the second race on Sunday, Kristoffersson continued his winning streak. This time, he led the final from the start, with a significant advantage over his competitors. His teammate, Ole Christian Veiby, finished second, completing a perfect result for the KMS - Horse Powertrain team.

Klara Andersson, from the CE Dealer Team, opted for wet tires in the last race, a decision that allowed her to fend off attacks from the Hansen brothers and secure her second podium of the season.
