Corey LaJoie will not continue as the driver of Spire Motorsports' No. 7 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series next year. After a period of four years with the team.
Spire Motorsports co-owner, Jeff Dickerson, highlighted LaJoie's importance to the team, mentioning that his dedication has been crucial since his arrival in 2021. "Corey has been essential to us from day one. His effort and commitment have been invaluable," commented Dickerson.
Dickerson explained that with the addition of Rodney Childers and other upcoming changes, the team needs a fresh start in 2025. Spire Motorsports will soon announce who will take LaJoie's place.
Founded by Jeff Dickerson and Thaddeus “T.J.” Puchyr, Spire Motorsports participates in both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. In 2024, the team competes with Chevrolet Camaro ZL1s No. 7, 71, and 77, with drivers like Corey LaJoie, Zane Smith, and Carson Hocevar. Additionally, they have a presence in the truck series with Chevrolet Silverados No. 7, 71, and 77.
