Rubén García Jr. achieved a significant victory in the San Luis Capital 200, at the Súper Óvalo Potosino, during the seventh round of the NASCAR México Series 2024. With this win, García Jr. becomes the driver with the most victories at this circuit, tying the record held by Rubén Rovelo. The Chevrolet driver faced tough competition, especially from Alex de Alba, who led at various points but could not maintain the lead until the end.
Rogelio López finished in second place and commented that the 3-second gap with García Jr. was too much to overcome. Rubén Rovelo, who finished third, expressed his satisfaction with returning to the podium after some time away.
The race, which consisted of 200 laps, presented numerous challenges with yellow flags and two red flags that complicated the competition.
