NASCAR Mexico Changes its Calendar Again: Chihuahua and Guadalajara Out

The 2024 season of NASCAR México Series has once again experienced changes in its schedule, being this the second time modifications are made this year.

Absence of the Race in Guadalajara

The elimination of the race in Guadalajara is one of the most notable changes. This race was scheduled at the “Las Chivas” stadium. Despite the efforts and cooperation of the authorities in Jalisco and the Guadalajara Football Club, the organizers admitted that it was not possible to build the track in time. It is expected to include Guadalajara in the 2025 calendar.

Rescheduling of Dates

Querétaro: Due to the cancellation in Guadalajara, Querétaro will now host two events: the first on August 10-11, and the second on September 21-22. This date was originally intended for Chihuahua or Guadalajara.

Mexico City: The final, initially scheduled for November 9-10 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, was moved up to November 2-3 due to pre-existing commitments at the venue.

Proximity of the Races in Querétaro

The proximity of the two races in Querétaro, scheduled for August 10-11 and September 21-22, raises some concerns. Having two races in the same city just six weeks apart may reduce interest and attendance from the local audience.
