On Saturday, June 15, the first night race of the season took place at Los Nogales Dirt Track in Delicias.
In Novatos V8, with 14 cars registered, the battle for the lead was between Edgar Herrera (H88) and Iván Armendáriz (11). They separated from the group for almost the entire race, but due to a yellow flag on the last restart, Mario Carrasco (68), who started in the 11th position and climbed up, joined the fight, securing second place and relegating Herrera. Diego Perales (24P) also reached the last step of the podium in that final restart, with Armendáriz finishing in first place.
In Estándar V8, Fernando Tapia (21) took the honors in a race with multiple yellow flags. The most intense battle was for third place between Jonathan Bermúdez (11JB) and Filiberto Guerra (F21), decided in favor of Bermúdez by centimeters at the finish line. Second place went to Omar Sánchez (99B).
In Pony Expertos, Manuel Pérez (13) took first place after starting from the sixth position, showing a notable ability to advance during the race. Jovan Alvarado (99) started in first position and finished in second place, while Agustín Chavira Jr. (01), who started from the fourth position, completed the podium in third place.
In Pony Novatos, the starting grid was defined through two preliminary elimination races. Cesar Figueroa (B02) took first place, followed by Alfredo Jimenez (48) in second place, and José Mata (M27) in third position.
With only 5 cars racing in the Modificada category, Miguel Jurado (24) led the early laps, but a slip in the first corner took him out of contention, giving the lead to Esteban Chávez (09). Chávez held off attacks from Aarón Córdoba (7) and Oswaldo Fierro (7) for most of the race, losing first to Fierro and then to Córdoba, finishing in third place. Fierro defended his position from Córdoba's assaults, losing first place in the last lap.
In the Libre category, 4 cars participated. First place went to Christian Balderrama (72), who recovered from a spin at the beginning of the race. Second place went to Aarón Córdoba (7), who tried to overtake Balderrama all over the track, but Balderrama's defense was perfect. The podium was completed by Oswaldo Fierro (7).
The next race at Los Nogales Dirt Track will be on Saturday, August 3, in another night event.
