NASCAR announced the new Hall of Fame members for the 2025 class: Ricky Rudd, Carl Edwards, and Ralph Moody. Additionally, the Landmark Award will be given to Dr. Dean Sicking for his outstanding contributions to NASCAR.
The voting took place in a closed session at the Charlotte Convention Center, where the Hall of Fame Voting Panel evaluated the 15 nominees for the 2025 class and the five nominees for the Landmark Award.
Of the nominees, ten appeared on the Modern Era ballot, selected by the Nominating Committee. The Pioneer ballot, which includes candidates whose careers began in 1965 or earlier, was selected by the Honors Committee. Since the 2021 class, each Hall of Fame class includes two members from the Modern Era ballot and one from the Pioneer ballot.
The Voting Panel, consisting of representatives from NASCAR, the Hall of Fame, track owners, media members, manufacturers, competitors, industry leaders, and fans, decided the 2025 class. A total of 62 votes were cast. Two Voting Panel members, Jeff Burton and Ricky Rudd, abstained from voting due to being potential nominees.
Rudd received 87% of the Modern Era ballot votes, Edwards 52%, and Moody 60% of the Pioneer ballot votes. The fan vote on NASCAR.com chose Ray Hendrick (Pioneer), Carl Edwards, and Harry Gant (Modern Era).
The induction ceremony will take place on February 7, 2025, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tickets will be available from June 17 on NASCARHall.com.
