Corey Heim, driver of the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota, won the Wright Brand 250 race, his third victory of the season and the eighth of his career. Heim overtook Jake Garcia on lap 186 and maintained the lead to finish with a 2.474-second advantage over Grant Enfinger, who came in second place.
The race, initially scheduled for Saturday, was suspended after 81 laps due to extreme weather conditions. Heavy rain left Heim's vehicle almost submerged in three feet of water. Despite the drainage problems on the track, Heim and his team managed to get the truck ready to compete the next day.
Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Heim's teammate, debuted in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, finishing in fourth place. Despite a penalty for speeding in the pits, Queen regained positions and ended in an impressive fourth position.
Layne Riggs finished in third place, securing his first top 5 of the season. Enfinger, with his second place, improved his position in the overall standings, placing eighth in the championship, though still 170 points behind leader Christian Eckes.
The race featured various pit strategies that caused changes in the competitors' order. Ty Majeski won the first stage by staying on track with old tires, while Tyler Ankrum used a similar strategy to win the second stage. Heim, with the fastest truck, showed his superiority after the second stage break.
