At the Subaru Las Torres dealership in Monterrey, Nuevo León, the fourth round of the NASCAR Mexico Series was announced. The race will take place on Saturday, May 25 at the Monterrey Autodrome. Present were David Robles Sánchez, Deputy Director of Telcel Region 4; Johanna Paredes, Commercial Manager of Subaru Las Torres; Gilberto Jiménez, owner of the Monterrey Autodrome; Humberto García, NMS Operations Director; drivers Abraham Calderón and Enrique Baca from the Telmex-Telcel team; and, via Zoom, Regina Sirvent from Dynamic Motorsports and Gerardo Rodríguez from Trucks Mexico.
Humberto García emphasized that the race will start at 17:00 to avoid high temperatures and that ticket prices will be affordable: 250 pesos for the paddock area and 180 for the general area. David Robles commented that NASCAR Mexico always offers a great show, which is well known to the fans. Gilberto Jiménez added that last year's experience was successful and that this year they expect a greater turnout, with reasonable prices for drinks and food inside the autodrome.
Johanna Paredes expressed her enthusiasm for participating with Subaru as the Pace Car in an event recognized throughout Latin America. Abraham Calderón, with a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, mentioned that his goal is to cross the finish line first in his hometown and that there will be a great promotion with Telcel for fans to win tickets.
Enrique Baca expressed his satisfaction with being invited to race for the Telmex-Telcel team, replacing Andrés Pérez de Lara, who cannot participate in some races in Mexico due to his commitments in the United States. Regina Sirvent mentioned that she arrives in Monterrey in good physical shape and expects to reach the podium. For his part, Gerardo Rodríguez from Trucks Mexico noted that his goal is to continue in the top positions of the championship, highlighting the challenge of the track where the race will be held, known as "El Frijol".
