Brad Keselowski ended a long 110-race winless streak during the tribute weekend at Darlington Raceway, securing victory in the Goodyear 400 on Sunday. This success marks his first win as co-owner and driver of RFK Racing, and the first since his last victory in April 2021 at Talladega Superspeedway while racing for Team Penske. Keselowski led 37 laps to take the checkered flag, providing Ford its first win of the year.
The competition for the lead was intense, especially after a restart with 33 laps to go, where Tyler Reddick, Keselowski, and Chris Buescher battled for the top spot. Although Buescher briefly managed to get ahead, a risky move by Reddick with ten laps to go resulted in contact that sent them both to the pits, clearing the way for Keselowski to regain the lead.
After the race, tension moved to the pits where Buescher confronted Reddick, still frustrated from narrowly losing the previous week in Kansas to Kyle Larson.
The incident wasn't the only one of the day; Kyle Larson also suffered a setback when a flat tire forced him out of the race, marking his first DNF since Atlanta in February. Ryan Blaney was another early retiree due to a crash on lap 129, illustrating the toughness of competition at Darlington.
The next featured event will be the NASCAR All-Star Open, closely followed by the NASCAR All-Star Race, both scheduled for May 19th at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
