Michael McDowell has announced that he will leave Front Row Motorsports at the conclusion of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. After seven seasons with the team, where he achieved notable results and contributed to its development, McDowell is preparing for a new challenge in his career. Starting in 2025, he will join Spire Motorsports, driving the number 71 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Cup Series.

During his time at Front Row Motorsports, McDowell stood out as the team leader, including a first place finish at the 2021 Daytona 500 and another at the Verizon 200 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2023. In addition to his on-track results, McDowell has been a role model off the track, representing Front Row Motorsports and its partners with integrity.

At Spire Motorsports, McDowell joins a forward-thinking team with solid support. Alongside Corey LaJoie and Carson Hocevar, the new environment promises to be conducive to future achievements and challenges in competition. The organization strongly supports its current drivers and is committed to continuing their development, maintaining a competitive and successful atmosphere.

Bob Jenkins, owner of Front Row Motorsports, has expressed his gratitude to McDowell for his dedication and contributions, wishing him success in his next chapter. McDowell's commitment to excellence and his experience are valuable assets for Spire Motorsports. The organization is excited to incorporate a driver of his caliber and expects that this new partnership will bring benefits for both the team and McDowell. With solid plans for the future, Spire Motorsports strives to be a competitive force in the NASCAR Cup Series, aiming to achieve more outstanding results in the coming seasons.
