Corey Heim took control of the Heart of America 200 in the final stage and secured his second victory of the season in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, despite struggling with a handling issue.

Heim led the race from lap 70 at Kansas Speedway and maintained his position during pit stops, outpacing second-place finisher Zane Smith, who closed in on Heim in the last 10 laps but finished 1.088 seconds behind.

The win was Heim's first in Kansas and the seventh of his career. Driving the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota, he previously won at Circuit of the Americas in March.

"I can't say enough about these TRICON Garage guys," said Heim, who has finished in the top 10 in all races this season. "What a vehicle! Although it was loose for most of the race, it had potential to improve. It was tough in the last 30 laps."

Smith, who won the second stage, lost seven positions in the pits and couldn't catch Heim. Christian Eckes finished third, followed by Kaden Honeycutt and Brett Moffitt.

Heim leads the series by seven points over Eckes. Both Heim and Smith will compete in the AdventHealth 400 NASCAR Cup Series in Kansas.
