Gerardo Rodríguez achieved his second victory of the year in the fourth round of Trucks México Series at Dorado Speedway, Aldama, Chihuahua. The race took place on May 4, 2024.
The event started with the qualifying session, where Mateo Girón secured the "Pole" driving his truck #5, accompanied in the front row by Gerardo Rodríguez with the #08.
The race began at 19:00, lasting 130 laps. Girón led the early laps, closely followed by Rodríguez and Santiago Cruz with the #22, who held the top three positions until the "Stage" at lap 60.
The second part of the race was marked by several contacts that affected the pace, including a brush with the wall that took Santiago Cruz out of the race. Mateo Girón fought with Rodrigo Maggio, the championship leader, who took the lead with his truck #67. Alonso Salinas with the #7 also joined the battle.
In the final laps, Gerardo Rodríguez took the outside line, overtaking Girón and Maggio, to secure the first position until the end. Thus, he achieved his second win of the year.
Mateo Girón secured second place, while Alonso Salinas completed the podium. The next round of Trucks México Series will take place on May 25 at Autódromo Monterrey.
