With the participation of prominent authorities such as the Secretary of Tourism of Chihuahua, Edibray Gómez Gallegos, and the Director of NASCAR Mexico, Jimmy Morales, the third date of the NASCAR Mexico Series 2024 was initiated. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at 17:00 and promises to be an important economic boost for the region, given its capacity to attract a large number of spectators.
During the launch ceremony, Gómez Gallegos emphasized the economic relevance of NASCAR events to the state, highlighting the hope that the series will visit the region more frequently. On the other hand, Morales highlighted the role of NASCAR Mexico as a benchmark for the organization outside the United States, and he was confident that the event will please the public.
Local authorities also highlighted the importance of the event for the community, especially to motivate young people towards motorsport. The Municipal President of Aldama pointed out that having the racetrack in his municipality not only promotes the sport but also attracts visitors to local attractions.
Rafael Vallina, from Dorado Speedway, reported that for the first time, attendees will be able to bring their own food and beverages, except in glass containers and specified that the soft drinks must be cola. This measure seeks to support spectators who prefer not to buy food at the racetrack for economic reasons.
Finally, Humberto García, Operations Director of NASCAR Mexico, announced that tickets are now available at startickets.mx and confirmed that three categories will compete: NASCAR Mexico, NASCAR Challenge, and Trucks Mexico. He also mentioned that Chihuahua could host another race later in the year.
As a background of interest, in the last race of last year in Chihuahua, Max Gutiérrez won the Chihuahua 240 of NASCAR Mexico, securing his position in the playoffs on a night affected by intermittent rain. This year, the event continues with innovations by allowing free entry of food and beverages for the benefit of the public.
