Today, Formula E and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile have presented their latest generation of race cars, the new all-electric GEN3 Evo, which is extraordinarily fast.
This model was presented at Prince Albert II of Monaco's Private Car Collection and will be incorporated in Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Developed by experts from Formula E and the FIA, the GEN3 Evo represents a leap forward in electric racing technology. With acceleration surpassing current F1 cars by 30% and the previous GEN3 model by 36%, the GEN3 Evo is notably faster than its predecessor, the first in the world designed specifically for urban racing.

It is the fastest accelerating FIA single-seater, reaching 0 to 60 mph in 1.82 seconds. Performance enhancements are estimated to provide a 2% gain over the GEN3, potentially translating into a qualifying lap about 2 seconds faster on the Monaco circuit. A new, more aerodynamic and robust body design favors more intense and direct competitions. It includes all-wheel drive (AWD) during qualifying duels, race starts, and ATTACK MODE, enhancing control and acceleration.
Optimized all-weather Hankook iON tires, made from 35% recycled and sustainable materials, offer between 5-10% more grip. Furthermore, the GEN3 Evo positions itself as the fastest Formula E car with a top speed of 200 mph and features a regenerative braking system that generates almost 50% of the energy needed for a race.

The vehicle was developed with the entire life cycle of the car in mind, including recycling battery cells and using recycled carbon fiber and natural materials such as linen in the chassis. All suppliers adhere to strict sustainability KPIs, with many achieving FIA 3* Environmental Accreditation certification.

As part of the technical roadmap of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, all powertrains will be newly homologated for Season 11, allowing manufacturers and their teams to implement key optimizations learned from the GEN3 into their new cars.
