NASCAR recently announced the nominees for the 2025 NASCAR Hall of Fame class, along with the candidates for the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. This year, the list includes distinguished drivers and personalities who have made their mark on the sport.

In the Modern Era category of the Hall of Fame, we find Greg Biffle, who was champion in the NASCAR Xfinity and CRAFTSMAN Truck series. Alongside him, Randy Dorton, a renowned engine builder, and Jack Sprague, who won the Truck series championship three times. Other nominees include Jeff Burton and Carl Edwards, both known for their multiple victories in the NASCAR Cup Series.

The Pioneer Ballot recognizes those whose careers began more than 60 years ago. This year, Ray Hendrick and Bob Welborn, each with multiple victories in their respective categories, have been nominated for the first time. Larry Phillips also appears in this category, having previously been considered in the Modern Era.

As for the Landmark Award, the nomination of Dean Sickling stands out, inventor of the SAFER (Steel and Foam Energy Reduction) barrier, a technology that has saved numerous lives in motorsport. This award celebrates individuals whose contributions have boosted the growth and prestige of NASCAR.

The selection of the nominees was carried out by the Nomination Committee, composed of representatives from NASCAR and the NASCAR Hall of Fame, as well as owners of major tracks and historic circuits. The Hall of Fame Voting Panel will soon meet to discuss and vote on the candidates for the class of 2025 and for the Landmark Award.

The results of these votes will be known after the panel concludes its deliberations and the votes of the fans, who can currently participate through the official NASCAR page, are counted.
