Salvador de Alba Jr. and the AGA Racing Team had a successful start in the Roshfrans Super Cup, securing pole position and victory in the GTM category at the Monterrey Racetrack.
This year, the AGA Racing Team, champions of 2023 in the GTM Pro 1 category, once again showcased their ability to adapt and compete at the highest level, starting the defense of their title strongly from the first day of competitions.
Salvador de Alba Jr., behind the wheel of the #1 AGA/ Red Cola/ Skarch / Guadalajara – Guadalajara car, hit the track for the first time in 2024, with the clear intention of seeking his fifth title. He confirmed his intentions by setting the fastest time in qualifying, securing the first position on the grid for the race.
Saturday afternoon saw the first 40-minute race, where Salvador led from start to finish, securing his first victory of the season and the first points in the overall standings. He is scheduled to start the second race on Sunday at 13:00 from the second position.
On the other hand, brothers Diego and David Reyes faced technical difficulties with the #34 car that affected their performance, although they managed to place in the Top-10 by the end of the day.
The 2024 season of the Roshfrans Super Cup will continue this Sunday, April 21, at the Monterrey Racetrack, where the AGA Racing Team will seek their second victory in the GTM Pro 1 category.
