The Trucks México Series held its third event of the 2024 season in Berriozábal, Chiapas. The competition took place on the 1,200-meter oval track.
On Saturday, the oval was dominated by Mateo Girón, who achieved the best starting position in truck #5, followed closely by Esteban Rodríguez and Rodrigo Maggio. Sunday did not prevent the drivers from starting strong, with an impressive start that initially left Girón in the lead.
As the race progressed, collisions were frequent, causing an intense dispute for the leadership position between Gerardo Rodríguez and Rodrigo Maggio. The latter finally took the lead in the last laps after a pause caused by a yellow flag.
The final laps were decisive, with Maggio maintaining his position and crossing the finish line first, thus marking his first victory of the season and consolidating his leadership position. Behind him, Alonso Salinas achieved a commendable second place, and Gerardo Rodríguez completed the podium in third place, after a tight battle with Esteban Rodríguez.
The series now looks forward, with eyes set on the next night race scheduled for May 4 in Chihuahua, anticipating more competition and strategy on the track.
