ABT Confirms Partnership with Lola and Yamaha for Formula E Season 11

ABT, a team in Formula E, will partner with Lola Cars and Yamaha Motor Company for the 11th season of GEN3 EVO. This alliance follows the end of their collaboration with Mahindra Racing and CUPRA in the current season.

Preparations at Lola and Yamaha, including software enhancement and hardware testing, are underway, with the first on-track test of the powertrain scheduled for June. More details will be announced in the coming months, including sponsors, team structure, drivers, and car design.

With this move, Lola Cars announces its return to global competitions, technically collaborating with Yamaha Motor Company from season 11. Lola Cars, with a history of over 500 victories, seeks to make an impact in electric motor racing alongside Yamaha.

ABT, as one of the most prominent teams in Formula E, has accumulated numerous achievements, including driver and team titles. The alliance with Lola and Yamaha marks a new stage for ABT in their pursuit of competitive success in the series.

Alberto Longo, a Formula E executive, expressed his welcome to Lola Cars and Yamaha Motor in the championship, highlighting ABT's dedication to innovation and performance in electric racing.
Thomas Biermaier, CEO of ABT, commented on the alliance with Lola and Yamaha, noting the challenges and the capacity of their partners to carry out this project.

Till Bechtolsheimer from Lola Cars spoke about the importance of working with ABT and their experience in Formula E. Heiji Maruyama from Yamaha Motor emphasized his company's commitment to sustainable development and their interest in contributing to ABT's success with their technology in collaboration with Lola.
