Coinciding with the anniversary of Enzo Ferrari's birth, the Italian team surprises us with the unveiling of the new livery of the 499P, destined to compete in the Hypercar class of the FIA WEC 2024. As the engines prepare to roar in Qatar next March 2, the eyes of fans are on numbers 50 and 51, the jewels of the Ferrari – AF Corse team.
This new image of the 499P is a tribute to history and a look towards the future. The livery, while reminiscent of last year's, brings with it an air of renewal and freshness. The red, that color which has painted Ferrari's history on tracks around the world, joins the Giallo Modena yellow, accentuating the vehicle's curves and aggressiveness.
This design not only recalls the legendary Ferrari 312 PB, but also celebrates the triumphant return of the Prancing Horse to endurance racing after five decades. The red tone of the 499P, inspired by the F2007 Formula 1 single-seater, is reinvented with a brighter version, ensuring that the car does not go unnoticed, day or night.
The cars 50 and 51, driven by the six aces of the Ferrari steering wheel, present a livery that plays with shape and space. The color blocks are not only decorative but emphasize the car's aerodynamics and avant-garde design, merging art and speed.
From any angle, the 499P is a work of art in motion. The Giallo Modena envelops the cockpit, highlighting its aesthetic and functional importance. Lines and horizontal bands in this same tone emphasize the feeling of speed, especially around the rear wheels and on the tail fin.
