The NASCAR México Series postseason was decided at the Autódromo Miguel E. Abed, where contact between Rubén García Jr and Germán Quiroga eliminated the polesitter from Chase contention. Rodrigo Rejón took the victory in the Puebla 110, the eighth round of the championship, in a finish that went to a green-white-checkered flag.

Before the race, five drivers had already secured their spots in the final round, and another three had virtually clinched theirs thanks to the points advantage accumulated during the regular season. Only two spots remained available among nine competitors, and that is where the real tension of the round was concentrated. José Luis Ramírez held 10th place with just two points ahead of Germán Quiroga, who was coming off a retirement at San Luis Potosí that had cost him ground in the overall standings.

Quiroga had been fastest in qualifying and started from pole with the intention of scoring the points he needed to make the Chase. That possibility ended when Rubén García Jr, whose spot had already been secured weeks earlier, made contact with him on track and knocked him out of contention for the rest of the round. Race control penalized García with a black flag, but the damage to Quiroga had already been done. He finished last in the final classification, eight laps behind the winner, and with that result lost any mathematical chance of breaking into the top ten.

That result secured José Luis Ramírez the spot he had been protecting all regular season, and Xavi Razo, ninth in the standings, advanced without drama in the other spot that had been at risk before Puebla. The eight drivers who had already clinched their spots had no need to take risks to hold their positions.
Rejón takes advantage of the restart and wins in the No. 95 car
Rodrigo Rejón, who had not won during the regular season, took advantage of the restart that came after a caution in the final laps and controlled the No. 95 car to the finish under a green-white-checkered flag. Max Gutiérrez finished second, and Irwin Vences completed the top three without having won a single race this year.

Rejón described a season of ups and downs for the team and said the result at Puebla came as a reward for several challenging weeks of internal work. Gutiérrez said the race required careful management on every lap against a group of drivers chasing the same goal, and Vences closed the regular season with a consistency that leaves him well positioned for the postseason.
With this result, the NASCAR México Series Chase field is composed of Rubén García Jr, Eloy Falcón, Alejandro de Alba, Max Gutiérrez, Irwin Vences, Rodrigo Rejón, Rubén Rovelo, Julio Rejón, Xavi Razo, and José Luis Ramírez, who retained the final available spot after Quiroga was eliminated at Puebla.

Rubén García Jr comfortably topped the regular season, winning the first two races of the year at San Luis Potosí and Chiapas, a start that contrasts with 2025, when he finished eighth overall and was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Eloy Falcón secured his spot with a victory at the temporary oval in Tulum, Alejandro de Alba with another at Aguascalientes, and Max Gutiérrez scored his at San Luis Potosí, where a mechanical issue took out Quiroga while he was leading.
At that same Puebla track, Helio Meza had won his only race of the year in the fourth round, after starting the season with two eighth-place finishes at San Luis Potosí and Chiapas and arriving in the top class as a Challenge Series runner-up. His parallel program in the United States, in Trans Am TA2, prevented him from running the full schedule and left him mathematically out of Chase contention.
Challenge Series also closes its regular season at Puebla
The same weekend served to close the regular season for the Challenge Series, the development category within NASCAR México. "Chispa" Rodríguez had been fastest in qualifying but finished fifth in the race. Emiliano Richards won a tight finale, followed by Jorge de la Parra and Giancarlo Vecchi, who completed the top three.

The next round for both championships will be held in Monterrey, Nuevo León, on September 4 and 5, the first stop of the postseason. The Chase begins there with points reset. The regular-season leader starts with 2015 points, second with 2012, third with 2009, and fourth with 2006, and from fifth to tenth the gap drops to one point per position, a margin that over four rounds can make the difference in a championship.
