Grant Enfinger scored his first victory in more than a year in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at the LiUNA 150, held this Saturday at Lime Rock Park. The CR7 Motorsports Chevrolet number 9 moved to the front on the final restart, with three laps to go, and held off Landen Lewis by 483 thousandths. It was Enfinger's 13th victory in the series and his first on a road course, a result that leaves him ninth in the overall standings with 343 points and a 25‑point advantage over 10th place, the final position that grants access to the Chase.
Enfinger shared the front row with Giovanni Ruggiero on that final restart and chose to start on the outside to fight for the position without resorting to contact. His truck accelerated better and he never gave up the lead in the remaining three laps. Lewis pushed hard in the Niece Motorsports truck but found no room to snatch the top spot. Kaden Honeycutt finished third, 1.7 seconds behind, after a charge that took him from 24th to the top three in 28 laps in the TRICON Garage Toyota.
Layne Riggs, the championship leader, controlled the first half of the race from pole with 48 laps led and a win in Stage 1. Honeycutt won Stage 2, and the race seemed headed for a duel between the two until pit stops and a string of incidents scrambled everything in the final 40 laps. Riggs and Honeycutt worked their way through traffic to recover and ended up making contact, damage that hurt the Front Row Ford number 34 and cost him pace. Riggs finished 23rd, one lap down, though he kept the championship lead with 595 points, 44 ahead of Honeycutt. Both have secured their spots in the Chase.
Thomas Annunziata, who had won the ARCA race at the same track on Friday, retired from the fight while running second when his truck caught fire with 22 laps to go. He stopped, climbed out under his own power and was taken to a medical centre for further evaluation. The 18‑minute red flag that followed the fire summed up a race that featured seven cautions in the final 40 laps and only calmed down when Enfinger took the checkered flag.
Parker Kligerman, co‑owner of Lime Rock Park, finished fourth in the Spire Motorsports truck. Christian Eckes was fifth for McAnally Hilgemann Racing and moved up to fourth in the championship. Daniel Hemric, Andrés Pérez de Lara, Tanner Gray, Stewart Friesen and Colin Braun, who competes full‑time in IMSA, rounded out the top ten.
Enfinger's win reshuffles the playoff fight with four races remaining before the end of the regular season. Tyler Ankrum is on the cut line, and Stewart Friesen together with Jake Garcia share 11th position, 17 points behind 10th. The next race is the Faith Fest 250 at North Wilkesboro, where Chandler Smith defends last year's victory. Riggs and Honeycutt have already secured their spots in the final phase.
