Felix Rosenqvist will leave Meyer Shank Racing at the end of the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season. The news was communicated by Michael Shank, co‑owner of the team, and makes the Swede the first confirmed name in the driver market for 2027. Rosenqvist departs at the highest point of his relationship with the organisation: this year he won the Indianapolis 500 and sits sixth in the overall championship.

"It's a shame that Felix has decided to leave MSR at the end of the season, especially with everything we've achieved together, including this year's Indy 500 victory," explained Shank. "In recent years, Felix has played an important role in building this programme into what it is today, and we are grateful for his contributions both on and off the track."

Rosenqvist joined Meyer Shank Racing in 2024, after three seasons at Arrow McLaren and two at Chip Ganassi Racing. His best result in the category came this year by winning the 110th Indianapolis 500 by 0.0233 seconds over David Malukas, the closest finish in the history of the race. That victory was the second of his IndyCar career and MSR's second at Indianapolis, after the one Hélio Castroneves scored in 2021. His 2026 campaign includes four top‑tens in ten races and keeps him in sixth place in the championship, matching the finish with which he debuted at Ganassi in 2019.

"There are still eight races left on the calendar, and everyone at MSR remains fully committed to achieving the best possible results in the championship and delivering for our partners," added Shank, who made it clear that the team is already working towards 2027. "We wish Felix all the success in the next stage of his career, but our focus is on the future and on defining the right driver for next season. As a team, we have come a long way in recent years, and maintaining that momentum is a priority. We are evaluating options and expect to have an announcement in the coming months."

MSR did not disclose Rosenqvist's destination nor who will occupy the seat of the Honda number 60 next season. Rumours within the paddock point to Andretti Global as a possible destination for the Swede, a possibility that would depend on how several pieces of the market fall into place, including the continuity of Marcus Ericsson at that same team.
