Mitch Evans charged from ninth on the starting grid to win the Miami E-Prix on a wet track, delivering Jaguar TCS Racing its first victory of the season after three consecutive races without scoring points. Nico Müller finished second and Pascal Wehrlein third for Porsche, results that put the brand at the top of the teams' and manufacturers' championships. Nick Cassidy retains the drivers' championship lead with 40 points despite finishing 16th without scoring.

The rain that arrived at Hard Rock Stadium before the race forced race control to order a safety car start, followed by a standing start when conditions improved. Müller held the lead from pole position, but Drugovich overtook him in the opening laps by utilizing four-wheel traction when activating Attack Mode on the wet asphalt. Nyck de Vries also briefly led when Mahindra used its first extra power period earlier than the rest, initiating a positional exchange that characterized the first half of the race as each driver activated their six minutes of additional 50kW.

Evans and Antonio Felix da Costa climbed to second and third when they used their first Attack Mode later than the others, slotting in behind Müller just before the rain intensified on lap 24. Drugovich lost control of his Andretti when conditions worsened and hit the front of Da Costa's Jaguar, taking both out of podium contention and opening the gap Evans needed to attack Müller.

Drugovich Crashes with Da Costa on Lap 24, Clearing the Way for Evans

Drugovich received a 10-second time penalty for the contact and finished 18th, one lap down on the winner. Da Costa recovered to eighth place, scoring four points that at least interrupt Jaguar's negative streak, although the British team hoped for stronger results. Evans capitalized on the space left by the incident and passed Müller on lap 27, managing his lead until the second round of Attack Mode to finish with a 3.1-second margin over Müller.

Evans secured his 15th Formula E victory and now has 26 points in the drivers' championship, placing him sixth in the standings. Wehrlein climbed from 11th on the grid to the podium, his second consecutive podium, leaving him with 38 championship points, just two behind Cassidy who must now defend a lead that two races ago was eight points. Joel Eriksson finished fourth for Envision Racing in his best result of the season, ahead of De Vries in fifth and Edoardo Mortara in sixth for Mahindra.

Porsche Leads Teams with 27-Point Advantage Over Citroën

Porsche leads the teams' championship with 71 points to Citroën's 44, a 27-point gap largely built on the Miami result. In the manufacturers' standings, the picture is similar with 88 points for Porsche, 25 ahead of Stellantis which groups Citroën and DS Penske. Müller climbed to fifth in the drivers' standings with 33 points, solidifying Porsche's position with two drivers in the championship top five alongside Wehrlein.

Jaguar TCS Racing now has 30 points in the teams' championship, jumping from tenth to seventh place in a single race thanks to Evans' victory and Da Costa's four points. Oliver Rowland fell from third to fourth in the drivers' standings with 34 points when he finished 12th for Nissan, losing valuable positions in a race where he needed to stay close to the leaders. Jake Dennis scored one point in tenth place for Andretti, and Sébastien Buemi finished seventh for Envision after climbing from the back of the grid.

Formula E continues on February 14th in Jeddah for the fourth round of the season. Porsche looks to extend its lead in the teams' and manufacturers' championships, although the drivers' title fight remains tight with just two points separating Cassidy and Wehrlein at the top.
