Salvador de Alba Jr. won both GTM Pro 1 races held on Sunday, September 28th at the Autódromo Internacional Miguel E. Abed in Amozoc, Puebla. With these results, he reached 13 victories during the eighth round of the Súper Copa Roshfrans 2025.
Rain on Saturday prevented the qualifying session for the first race from being completed. Organizers decided to start based on the championship order, placing De Alba Jr. on pole position. He controlled the 40-minute race in the #1 car. Paul Jourdain finished second and Ivanna Richards third.
Domínguez gets first pole of the season
Qualifying for the second race took place on a wet track on Saturday. Mario Domínguez set a time of 1:44.597 and secured his first pole position of the season. De Alba Jr. qualified second, followed by José Arellano and Gerardo Nieto.
De Alba Jr. started from second position and crossed the finish line first. Emiliano Richards finished second and Domínguez third.
Four consecutive wins for De Alba Jr.
Before the Chihuahua round, Emiliano Richards led the GTM Pro 1 championship with 562 points, followed by Paul Jourdain with 498 points. De Alba Jr. was in third place with 473 points. He won all four races held in Chihuahua and Puebla heading into the round on November 29th in Monterrey.
Pérez and Zanella win in Pro 2
"Keko" Pérez was the fastest in GTM Pro 2 during Saturday's qualifying and won the first race on Sunday. Rafael Vallina finished second in both races. Santos Zanella Sr. won the second race, with Alfredo Mena in third position.
De Alba Jr. adds victory in tractor trucks
Salvador de Alba Jr. won in the tractor trucks category with truck #48. Majo Rodríguez finished second in her home state, Puebla, and Santiago Tovar third. Tovar now has three wins this season after previously winning in Querétaro and León.
"The team did a great job with the truck. We started from the first position, and from there everything depended on what I did. Now in Monterrey, we go for the title," declared De Alba Jr. Rodríguez commented: "There are days you don't forget. Today is one of them because there were moments where I had to push myself to the maximum to achieve it."

Monterrey confirmed as next round
The next confirmed round of the Súper Copa Roshfrans will be on November 29th at the Autódromo de Monterrey. The category will also have a presence at the Mexican Formula 1 Grand Prix, although it has not been confirmed if it will be a points-scoring round for the championship.
